| 3 Part Lid Sandwich
Staebell Humidors are constructed with techniques that virtually guarantee an heirloom for generations to come. Failure of the lid is perhaps the most common problem in humidors. Our lid construct utilizes a sandwich with a 1/8" bookmatched veneer of the outside figured wood and sp.cedar on the inside bonded to 3/8" medex(a water resistant MDF) with marine grade epoxy at 3000 psi. The solid wood bodies of the humidors
(except Bloodwood & Burls) are joined with the same epoxy.
At $90/gallon it is much more expensive than the glues generally used,
but worth it.
